He is hilarious and has to be number one on your list. And though he probably doesn't make your list because he didn't have fuzz and I guess wasn't technically a mascot, any list of baseball sideshow performers has to include Max Patkin, who entertained minor league baseball fans for decades. I also got to see him in person and he was worth the price of admission all by himself. Anyone under the age of 35 reading this is probably scratching your head, but check out his performance in Bull Durham. That will give you the essence of what he was about. He was the best.
