I had the good fortune as an author and filmmaker to co-author a biography, THE TOMMY JOHN STORY, with TJ and his lovely wife Sally, and to coproduce a documentary film with the same title. I want to add my voice to your admonition for Tommy John to be inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame. On so many levels he has earned his place in that historical setting. I'd love to hear a clarion call for that to happen. Loved the series of interviews with TJ. Coach Sharpe would use me to let Tommy practice throwing in the gym, at Gerstmeyer. I was 4'11" and small. He would throw that curve and drop at me. Me being a small target would work him out. Scare me to death with no Bat. I would even hide in the jym, but they always found Me. I followed his carrer all the time. He's always been a Great guy, as was his father.
