This is kind of a dumb controversy, but it’s an even dumber decision by Red Sox starting pitcher John Lackey – he was seen double-fisting beers in the visitor’s clubhouse following his Sox’s loss to the Cleveland Indians last night.
Before this season even began, Red Sox manager Bobby Valentine banned alcohol from the clubhouse. However, he must’ve meant their clubhouse at Fenway and not at clubhouses on the road.
Lackey was the epicenter for the controversy involving beer and fried chicken last season, which destroyed the Sox. That initial controversy led Valentine to ban alcohol from the clubhouse.
