The Red Sox have already suffered enough this year… what more could go wrong?
They finished their horrendous August with a horrendous game against the Oakland A’s last night. The BoSox lost to the A’s 20-2 and gave up five homers in the process. Ouch.
CSNNE.com’s Sean McAdams notes that it is the worst loss for the Red Sox since they dropped a June 19, 2000 game to the Yankees – in that game, Boston lost 22-1.
Boston finishes their August with a record of 9-20, and they currently have a 62-71 record, which is the same record the SAN DIEGO PADRES have. Unreal.
