After breaking his left ankle in Game 1 of the ALCS against the Tigers, Derek Jeter’s postseason was finished. Today, he had ankle surgery to repair that broken ankle.
The time frame of Jeter’s recovery is between four to five months. Yankees GM Brian Cashman was asked if he thought Jeter would be ready for Opening Day 2013, to which he responded that “he’ll be ready when he’s ready.”
Jeter hit .333 in six postseason games this season.
