In January, Alex Rodriguez will have an operation on his hip that will keep him out of baseball for three to six months, says USA Today.
A-Rod injured that hip before the playoffs began. He tried to see if he could play without surgery, but a procedure was finally recommended by Bryan Kelly, an orthopedist who will perform it.
It’s likely that this hip injury factored into A-Rod’s terrible postseason performance this past season, especially in the ALCS against the Tigers.
